SENIOR TT WIN FOR TODD MAKES IT 21 FOR TAS RACING
Davey Todd’s victory in the blue riband Senior TT for Milwaukee BMW ended this year’s event on a high for TAS Racing. With top steps in both the Superstock TT and aforementioned Senior, backed up with second place in the Superbike TT – took TAS Racing’s victory total to 21 on the Isle of Man.
The Superstock victory gave Todd an emotional debut win on the island, leaving him unbeaten on M1000RR ‘stock machinery since joining the team this season.
The Senior TT win, the most coveted of all in pure road racing, was TAS Racing’s first since 2004 with Adrian Archibald. Also a fitting ‘gift’ for team owner Hector Neill, who took Norman Brown to the Senior win in 1982 – the team’s first at the TT, some 42 years ago.
Davey also took two podiums in the TT Supersport races with second and third placed finishes respectively – making it five podiums in a week.
Fastest Laps:
Superstock – 135.092mph
Superbike – 135.664mph
Supersport – 128.785mph
“It’s been an unbelievable TT fortnight for me and I must give credit to the TAS guys for preparing me superb motorcycle this TT. To get the debut win in the Superstock class was a dream come true and I enjoyed the intense battle with Peter (Hickman). The Senior win… those were the longest last two laps of my life. I was short shifting and just trying to keep my focus. It will take a while to sink in for sure, but great to have Hector here to enjoy it. Thanks to everyone at Milwaukee BMW; I can’t wait to come back next year.”

“To have a Milwaukee backed team and rider win the Milwaukee Senior TT is something we could never have predicted. So big congratulations to both Davey and TAS Racing on an amazing achievement. The TT is undoubtedly one of the world’s most iconic motorsport events, hence our participation as both a team and event sponsor. To the people that came to visit us this TT fortnight from all around the globe, getting the chance to experience a hands on evaluation of our product range, and my team who worked tirelessly at the event. I’d like to offer a big thanks to you all.”

“To say we are happy with our 2024 IOM TT is probably an understatement. As a team we made a plan during winter, to place ourselves in the best possible position for this year’s TT races and we simply could not be happier with Davey’s performance.
Our Milwaukee BMW M1000RR machines were faultless throughout the event and it was especially nice to have my Father present to enjoy another TAS Racing victory in his much loved Senior TT. All credit must go to the outstanding team of individuals who made this happen: the ones present at the event and equally all of those who work behind the scenes to ensure we make it to the start line each year. Thanks also to our many partners and sponsors without whom we simply would not be here.
Finally, a very special thanks to Davey Todd on a truly outstanding performance – welcome to the TAS Racing Isle of Man TT success story.”
PHILIP NEILL – TEAM PRINCIPAL, TAS RACING
“Big congratulations to Davey Todd and the Milwaukee BMW by TAS Racing Team around Hector and Philip Neill on this fantastic Isle of Man TT. To watch Davey racing to his first ever TT win in the Superstock TT race already has been exciting. This was even topped by the fantastic victory in the prestigious Senior TT. To add his name to the winners’ list of this famous race is every road racer’s dream and we are delighted that Davey did so with the BMW M 1000 RR. It was great to hear that he absolutely loves riding the bike. We work very hard at BMW MOTORRAD Motorsport to provide the riders and teams with the best basis package to be competitive on the highest level. Davey’s performance and his praise for the bike the team built on this basis, is a great confirmation for us. A big thank you to Davey and the team who have impressively continued the success story of BMW MOTORRAD at the Isle of Man TT.”
