Todd to ride Powertoolmate Ducati at TT 2024
Davey Todd will ride the all-conquering V2 Ducati at this year’s Isle of Man TT Races in June. The exotic Italian machinery is being supplied by Powertoolmate – the one stop e-commerce power tool shop – ably supported by a number of UK and Ireland based leading industry specialists.
The V2 Panigale is heir to the great tradition of Ducati twin-cylinder machines and despite its most recent success in the World Supersport Championship, TT fans will look to the halcyon days of Mike ‘The Bike’ Hailwood on Ducati machinery, and those famous of wins in 1978.
Todd will undoubtedly come to the TT as one of the potential heirs to the throne in the Supersport class, and there would be no better way to record his debut victory on the Italian-powered masterpiece.
“It’s a pretty trick piece of kit and there’s certainly no better looking Supersport machine on the grid,” said Todd. “Looks are one thing, but the pedigree of the V2 is unquestionable, pretty much winning everything in 2023 from domestic to world titles. The TT throws up a different challenge for sure, but with technical support from TAS Racing and Stewart Johnstone leading the team, I’m really excited about going down Bray Hill on the Powertoolmate V2 Ducati.”

“I must admit from an engineering perspective and also leading this effort, I’m personally looking forward to the challenge of taking an iconic brand and partner back to the TT, in what is broadly regarded as the most competitive category at the event. On a personal level, I hope to rekindle the previous successes I’ve enjoyed with Ducati.”
STEWART JOHNSTONE – TEAM PRINCIPAL
“We at Powertoolmate are again delighted to be the headline partner of this very exciting collaboration. The TT is undoubtedly the jewel in the International Road Racing crown – so to have a unique Italian V2 Ducati with Davey Todd onboard is something we are all looking forward to being involved in. The TT was my first experience of pure road racing and to go back as a headline sponsor is a dream come true.”
